For the 42nd edition of the famous Solitaire du Figaro race, which set sail from July 31st to August 28th from Perros Guirec, passing through Caen, Dùn Laoghaire in Ireland, Les Sables d’Olonne and finally arriving in Dieppe, CDVI, leading manufacturer of access control systems for over the last 25 years (Digicode® flagship brand), set sail westwards for one of the world’s finest sailing races.
David Benhammou, President of CDVI and an adventure sport enthusiast, was behind this innovative high profile corporate communication strategy adding a new dimension to CDVI's brand image.
2011 is very much a year for sports sponsorship, with a number of highly mediatised meetings and events on the calendar.
The programme involved a number of thrilling experiences, team spirit, solidarity, adventure and new discoveries.
In association with the boat belonging to the famous skipper Loïc Le Garrec and his 500pour100 Club, CDVI sponsored and supported each stage of the Solitaire 2011 adventure.
On the starting line, 47 boats and skippers stirred up great excitement among all lovers of the open sea and competition enthusiasts.
CDVI was clearly visible with its brand logo splashed over the hull of the boat and fully benefited from the media coverage of an event which is very popular with the general public and which provided a special occasion for CDVI to meet company guests.
For a glimpse preview before the start of the official race, a few CDVI guests were invited for a day out at sea and a trip around the Ile de Groix in the harbour of Lorient, with Loïc Le Garrec at the helm.
Overall it was a superb event for CDVI in 2011 and was its second participation in the Solitaire du Figaro race, providing the opportunity for all members of the group to fully appreciate sporting values.
